DIY Organic No Soak Almond Milk Recipe

While playing around with left over raw almond butter (I don’t make my own – it’s to time consuming, and I found one I love for about $14), I accidentally made pure almond milk that requires NO soaking, no cheese cloth, and the list goes on and on. You literally only need 2 ingredients while saving a couple of hundred dollars per year on store-bought almond milk! So for those who say that being a vegan is expensive – think again! One jar of raw almond butter (purchased for just under $14) can last for months, and at 2 tablespoons per use, it goes a long way!

I am so excited to share this 2 ingredient almond milk recipe with you, so let’s get started:

  • 3 cups filtered water
  • 1 to 2 tablespoons almond butter (for a light version use one, for a richer version use 2 tablespoons)
  • Optional: 2 to 3 dates if you like your almond milk on the sweet side

All you need is a Vitamix or high-speed blender!

Place 1 to 2 tablespoons of almond butter to 3 cups of water in the blender (see above for note on flavoring). I always the water first.

After adding the ingredients above, blend away. Process until white, milky and completely smooth. May take a few minutes. Worth wait, I promise! Pour into sterilized glass milk jars. You can find them on Amazon, or mason jars found at Target. Almond milk will keep between 5 to 7 days.
